Creating relevant Campaign content for ecommerce can be a difficult task.
Many brands push too far in one direction with the campaign, booking expensive locations, premium models for long shoots with vast budgets, and then fail at the supporting PDP content.
This can create a real disconnect for the customer journey. Of course not every customer will start a purchase journey at the campaign content, (many enter directly at Product Detail Page), but brands often lack the same focus on creating PDP content leaving the in-house studio to just get on with the job, rushing against the clock.
But this Mango x Victoria Beckham campaign is a brilliant example of connecting all the content. Shot by Steven Meisel, the location images and video are excellent, but what really enhances the customer experience is the care given to the PDP content.
